Where to Stay in Denver for a Bachelorette Party?
One of the most important things to consider when planning a bachelorette party is to make sure you book the right space that is comfortable for everyone in the group. Some groups prefer the convenience of booking a hotel because of the room service, and location to a lot of downtown hot spots, and others prefer to book a rental home because they offer more living space and more room to decorate and be as loud as you want.
Here are some of my top hotel picks!
- The Westin Denver Downtown: This is a newly renovated hotel that features a rooftop pool, plus a swanky hotel bar and restaurant.
- The Crawford Hotel: This is a stylish and luxurious option in downtown Denver, and located within Union Station.
- The Source Hotel: If you want to explore RiNo, this hotel is perfect. It’s right on the edge of the district, making it an ideal starting point for discovering all the street art and breweries along Blake and Larimer.
Here are my top VRBO picks!
- Spacious Rental in a Great Location (Skyland): This 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom rental is located close to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Bluebird Theater.
- Charming Rental Home for Larger Groups (Park Hill): This home is perfect for larger groups — sleeping up to 12! Located just minutes away from hotspots like City Park, Denver Zoo, and the Museum of Nature and Science.
Weather
Because the weather in Denver can sometimes lean towards the unpredictable — here is a quick rundown of the weather you can expect while you plan out your Denver bachelorette trip!
- Spring: Temperatures ranging from 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Summer: Average temperatures range from the high 70s to the low 80s, but it can sometimes get into the 90s.
- Fall: Average temperatures from 50 degrees in the morning to 70 degrees in the afternoon.
- Winter: The daily temps hover around 45 degrees with occasional snow that typically doesn’t stick around for too long.
How to Get Around Denver
There are plenty of attractions that are within walking distance, like restaurants and bars. If you want to explore nearby neighborhoods, Uber and Lyft rides are quick and easy as well. A lot of locals also use Lime bikes and scooters to get around quickly.
If you’re looking to explore some neighboring towns like Golden during your trip, I would suggest getting a rental car to make exploring a tad easier and more efficient.
Denver Bachelorette Party Itinerary (3 nights!)
The thought of planning a 3-day bachelorette itinerary can feel daunting, so here is an example of activities you can schedule for your Denver, CO bachelorette party.
Day One: Explore Downtown Denver
Morning
After everyone has gotten settled from the flights, one of the best ways to kick off any bachelorette trip is to grab a late brunch! If you’re headed in the RiNo area, I would recommend Yardbird. The menu features tasty dishes like mini beignets stuffed with Nutella as well as uniquely crafted cocktails such as the Jim Beam–spiked Bloody Mary.
Afternoon
After you’ve wrapped up brunch, this can be a great time to explore the downtown Denver area, and take in some of the local sights like Union Station, Dairy Block, and Larimer Square!
Evening
After everyone gets freshened up back at the hotel, it’s time to grab some dinner! Rioja is a great spot that offers up a seasonal Mediterranean menu. The braised short rib and artichoke tortelloni are two of the standout dishes!
Late Night
If you’re looking to end night one with a nightcap, one of the most popular cocktail bars in Denver is Death & Co — and for good reason! If you’re a fan of cucumber and mint, the Eastside is for you! But if you’re more into traditional drinks, they serve incredible margaritas, negronis, and espresso martinis.
Day Two: Explore Red Rocks and the Great Outdoors
Morning
Day two is when you can start exploring some places that are outside the Denver city limits! If your group is leaning towards visiting Red Rocks, you’re looking at a ~25-minute drive to the charming town of Morrison. If there aren’t any shows playing while you’re visiting, don’t worry! This is still a fun day trip to explore the hiking trails and the Colorado Music Hall of Fame (free entry!).
Afternoon
Once you’ve explored everything there is to see at Red Rocks, just 15 minutes from Morrison is another charming town — Golden! You and your group can spend some time walking around the cute shops and taking in all of the charms of this western town.
If your group is more on the active side, you can plan to hike Table Mountain which offers a variety of trail loops that range from 2 hours to 4 hours — don’t forget to wear your sunscreen! The sun is no joke and there is no shade at the top of Table Mountain.
End your visit by grabbing a slice at Woody’s Wood-Fired Pizza for lunch!
Evening
Once you arrive back at the hotel and you’re looking for a fun evening activity, try going axe throwing at Bad Axe! For $42 a person, you can reserve a private lane where you and your crew can try your hand at axe throwing. Once you’ve worked up an appetite post-axe-throwing, head over to Machete for some delicious tacos and margs to end the evening!
Day Three: End with Nature, Art, and Beautiful Views
Morning
Spend your last day in Denver by sleeping in and recovering from the past two fun-filled days! Grab coffee at one of the favorite local coffee joints like Blue Sparrow, Dandy Lion Coffee, or Moonflower Coffee.
Afternoon
This afternoon is the perfect time to take in the art and nature that Denver has to offer. Depending on flight times, you can plan to spend the afternoon checking out the Denver Botanic Gardens or the Denver Art Museum — both great experiences! Check out the full Denver Botanic Gardens review to get a sense of how to plan your day.
Psst: You can check out both with the Denver City Pass!
Evening
If you have enough time to squeeze in an early dinner with the group, it’s well worth visiting the rooftop tapas restaurant like El Five. Some of the most popular tapas include goat cheese croquetas, and harissa eggplant fries, all paired with an L5 margarita. You can all enjoy your tapas and drinks with the beautiful Rocky Mountains as your backdrop.
Psst: Find more rooftop bars in Denver here!
More Things to Do (and Nightlife) in Denver for a Bachelorette Party
There are SO many things to do in Denver, it’s hard to pack everything into one neatly packed itinerary. With that being said, if you’re looking to add or edit the above itinerary, here are more exciting things to do!
- Holey Moley Golf Club Denver: This is a fun experience for those who are mini golf fans, and perfect no matter what season you visit since it’s indoors!
- Union Station Farmer’s Market: The Farmer’s Market really depends on when you’re visiting due to the weather, so it’s best to check their website before planning to go.
- Denver Wine Walk: This activity is a bit on the pricy side, with $99 a person, but you get to experience all of the best wines Denver has to offer!
- Pedal Hopper: A classic bachelorette activity! This route cruises around the RiNo, LoDo, and Ballpark neighborhoods.
- Howl at the Moon Denver: If you’re trying to find something that everyone will enjoy, you really can’t go wrong with a dueling piano bar.
- Casa Bonita: Now, this is more of a funny idea depending on what the bride wants to do, but Casa Bonita is known for its unique atmosphere with divers plunging into a pool below a 30-ft. waterfall & puppet shows. This could make for a funny and unforgettable night.
- Adrift: This is a favorite tiki bar spot amongst Denver locals. With drinks like the Jungle Bird and the Frozen Chi Chi — you’ll feel like you’ve transported to the tropics!
- Go for a hike! Although there aren’t any great hikes right in Denver, there’s plenty a short distance away!
Other Tips to Know Before Throwing a Bachelorette in Denver
- Bring a water bottle and electrolytes. With the higher altitudes, it’s so important to stay hydrated during your time in Denver to avoid any nausea or headaches during the trip.
- Ask the party to download the Splitwise app. Since there will be a lot of Uber rides and shared bar tabs, it can get difficult trying to track down who owes what. So by downloading an app like Splitwise, you’ll be able to tabulate everything in real-time to stay on track and budget.
- Emergency kit. You never know when someone in the group might need random items like safety pins, bobby pins, ibuprofen, scissors, bandaids, etc.!
