Where to Stay Near Sedona

When you first start searching for “Where to stay near Sedona”, you will quickly realize that hotels and Airbnbs are EXPENSIVE. During our Arizona Weekend Road Trip, we found that hotels in downtown Sedona were over 400 dollars per night. I don’t know about you, but I am FAR too cheap…frugal to spend that kind of money for a plain old hotel room. WELL, with a bit more searching, I found the COOLEST Airbnb just 30 minutes outside of Sedona for a fraction of the cost. Diamond Gal Inn was uniquely designed and decorated to include all the Arizona Wild West vibes with authentic 1800’s Victorian Touches. It is a unique stay near Sedona that you will not soon forget!

Where is Diamond Gal Inn Located?

Diamond Gal Inn is located in Cornville, AZ. It is just 30 minutes outside of Sedona and 90 minutes from the Phoenix Airport. When I visited, Sedona was PACKED (I’m talking traffic jams and people EVERYWHERE), so it was great to spend a night out of the chaos enjoying the peacefulness of nature.

If the unique decor isn’t enough, Diamond Gal Inn is located on 52 acres to explore. Among these acres, you will find horses, donkeys, cows, a pond (with a paddle boat!), a tennis court, and the cutest gazebo.

Inside your room, you can enjoy the comfy queen-sized bed, mini-fridge, claw-foot tub (…the cutest), and themed 1800’s decor. Our room was the “Anne Oakley” room with a brief history lesson and themed decorations.

After waking up in the morning, you can make your way down to the bar for breakfast (toast and jelly, oatmeal, fruit) and coffee.

Things to do near Cornville, AZ

  • Hot air balloon ride: This one is definitely on my bucket list for next time. On our hike to Devils Bridge, we saw hot air balloons peacefully rising over the red rocks. It looked amazing! You can check out Red Rock Balloons or TripAdvisor for tours and pricing!
  • Pink Jeep Tour: I can not even count how many jeeps we saw during our time in Sedona. It is definitely the top tourist attraction. The Pink Jeep tours are the most popular, but you can also check out Safari Jeep Tours for a variety of tours and times.
  • Chapel of the Holy Cross: Just over 10 minutes from downtown, you can check out and tour this beautiful church built among the rocks.
  • Wine Tours: We made it to one winery, but Sedona is also close to Camp Verde Wine Valley. Sedona Wine Tours offers complete tours so you do not have to worry about driving!
  • Hike in Sedona: Sedona is only a 30-minute drive from Cornville and is filled with amazing hikes. I recommend hiking the famous Devil’s Bridge at sunrise, searching for the hidden caves off of the Boyton Canyon Trail, and marveling at the view from Cathedral Rock. You can check out more Sedona hikes here!
  • Horseback Ride: If the horses at the Airbnb aren’t enough, you can check out Horsin’ Around Adventures to book a horseback ride through the beauty of the surrounding areas.
