Gifts For the Budget-Travel-Lover (under 20)
Water Bottle
Because no-one likes to be forced to buy a 10 dollar bottle of water at the airport. Right? Or am I the only cheap one? This bottle is perfect because you are able to attach it to your carryon to free up your hands!
Travel Journal
For those who love to reminisce on all those vacay memories! It is much more fun to do in a cute travel journal!
First-aid Kit
This is the perfect travel kit that can fit nicely in your glove compartment or clipped on to your hiking pack! It’s always better to be safe than sorry! Thankfully I have never had to use mine!
Headlamp
Whether you are camping or find yourself hiking in the dark, a headlamp is an absolute necessity. A great stocking stuffer!
Scrapbook
As someone who loves taking pictures and reminiscing, a scrapbook is always my perfect gift. There are also so many extras to add on to make the best-themed gift. Check out these travel stickers and travel scrapbook pages!
Waterproof Phone Case
For those adventure waterfall hikes, or your next kayak or canoe trip! Make sure to protect all those valuables! If you aren’t planning on bringing your phone, it’s perfect for your id or other credit cards or cash!
Under 50
Tripod
This is a must! For those solo travelers or those looking to get that cheesy couple pic, a tripod is essential. This doubles as a go-pro handle, short and long tripod!
Hiking Backpack
If you have read any of my other posts, you know I LOVE this backpack. It goes with me ON EVERY SINGLE TRIP.
It is big enough to hold all your water (inside the water bladder), and there is room for snacks and extra clothes/materials. It is super comfy and also affordable!
Audible Subscription
I recently listened to my first book ever on Audible and I loved it. Although I used it to pass time while driving to and from work, it would be great for those long road trips or flights!
Neck Pillow
I have tried a few different neck pillows (ranging from cheap to a bit more spendy), but this is the most comfortable! It is small and can even hook on to your backpack when not in use!
Under 100
Keens (Water-proof hiking shoes):
Another ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. My keens are the best. They are perfect for short-to medium hikes and get be worn in and out of the water! They are comfortable, provide great traction, and
If looking for something with a bit more ankle support, check out Keen boots!
Photo Map:
This is one of my FAVORITE gifts I have ever received. The frame is sold separately, but you can get affordable frames at Micheals or Hobby Lobby.
Anyways, all you have to do is go to the company’s website, upload your picture, and select the desired state. It will insert your picture to the outline of the state, then you can print the pictures at Walgreens or Walmart to put in your frame!
Kindle
Although I prefer paper book to e-books, a kindle is a great way to save space in your carry-on and have the chance to read multiple books. Plus kindles are super affordable!
Tip:: You can get a library card from your local library and download free rented books straight to your kindle!
Polaroid Camera
This is a fun gift for the picture lover. Polaroid pictures are great unique souvenirs on any trip.
Gifts For the Fancy Travel-Lover (Luxury Travel Gifts)
I am definitely not a luxury traveler, so this list is a bit shorter than the others. I’m pretty cheap …I mean budget-savvy, so I do try to watch what I spend money on. With this being said, there are some items that are worth splurging for.
Gopro
I use my gopro for all my travel pics. I prefer to bring my gopro on hikes versus my phone as it is more durable and then I will not be tempted to use my phone during vacays. I also like that I can use it during adventurous activities as well!
Wireless Headphones
For the pre-travel workouts, flights, hikes, or long car-rides. I recently just invested in my first pair and LOVE THEM. I was being super stubborn and still using the corded headphones because I didn’t want to spend the money. But, it is SO nice to be able to set my phone down and not get tangled in the cords.
Airbnb Gift Card
Airbnb’s are my FAVORITE. You are always able to search for unique stays to make your vacation even better. Check out this road trip for some Airbnb inspiration!
For the Pet-travel-lovers
Collapsible water dishes
Easy to pack in your suitcase and hiking backpack. Your pet will thank you on those long hot hikes!
Hiking boots
This was a relatively new purchase for me. Buuuttt, my dog is the biggest drama king (see Example A). So we are testing out boots to protect his paws from the hiking terrain.
Doggy first-aid kit
Again…better safe than sorry!
Travel doggy bags
…for obvious reasons!
