Where to Stay Near Saguaro National Park

***UPDATE*** Unfortunately, this cute little B&B has since closed down 🙁 Click HERE to read more details about my Sedona to Tucson Road Trip Itinerary.

I saw a picture of Saguaro National Park a few months ago, and I immediately knew I wanted to visit. To be completely honest, I had no idea what a saguaro was (or that this National Park even existed), but they looked super cool. I began my research and searched all the things to do near Tucson. My searching came back quite empty, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. BUT Tucson, Saguaro National Park, and Casa Tierra Adobe turned out to be an AMAZING escape from the crowds of Sedona, and a peaceful setting surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes. SO LOOK NO FURTHER, for the best place to stay near Saguaro National Park.

Unique stay near Saguaro National Park

Aside from Casa Tierra being the perfect home base for exploring Saguaro National Park, there are also SO many included amenities. Upon arriving, you will be greeted by the welcoming host and given a tour of the setting. There are three different guest rooms, and each is equipped with a private bathroom, comfy bed (one room is a suite), mini-fridge (stocked with hiking snacks), and private patio with a fireplace.

Right outside your room, you will find the most peaceful courtyard with a fountain and chairs. If you hang out there for a bit, it’s likely you will be able to catch the visiting hummingbirds! Also near the courtyard, there are fresh-baked cookies, homemade granola, and tea and coffee. I mean can it get any more charming?!

And to top of your night, you can enjoy the shared hot tub just steps away from your balcony. Grab the cozy robes from your room and spend the night stargazing from the hot tub. The stars were AMAZING and I wish I could have sat there forever!

After waking up the next day, you will be met with a DELICIOUS homemade breakfast in the dining room. Casa Tierra serves a hearty vegetarian meal to fill you up for all your upcoming hikes. We were served an egg and potato skillet with fresh fruit and juice.

Special Events:

Falconry Experience: This is a unique two-day experience that takes place right at the bed and breakfast. You will work directly with the professionals at Sky Island Falconry Experience to learn everything you need to know about these birds of prey. How cool would it be to wake up, walk out on your balcony, and call a falcon to land on your gloved arm?! You can find the details here!

Weddings: I’m already married, but if I would have known about this before I would have been SO tempted to elope here! Casa Tierra’s wedding packages can accommodate up to 40 wedding guests and sleep up to 8. You will be given a personal wedding coordinator and a beautiful setting. Things to do near Saguaro National Park

Saguaros

I doubt you will even want to leave the bed and breakfast, BUT if you are feeling adventurous there are many things to do near Casa Tierra Adobe.

  • Desert Museum: We did not know what to expect with this museum (we were thinking a small gift shop type deal), but it was SO MUCH more! There were aquarium exhibits, mountain lions, cafes, butterfly gardens, and more. We definitely could have spent more time exploring!
  • Saguaro National Park: The main reason we found this charming bed and breakfast was due to its proximity to Saguaro National Park. This national park has over 91,000 acres to explore. You can hike, camp, search for petroglyphs, and of course marvel at the massive saguaros.
  • Old Town Tucson: Unfortunately we did not have time to visit, BUT Old Town Tucson features an art museum, historic homes, Old Town Artisans, and tasty authentic restaurants.
  • Seven Falls Trail: This was the first hike we did before arriving at Casa Tierra Adobe. It was the perfect way to start our time in Tucson. With saguaros, overlooks, creek crossings, AND a waterfall with a swimming hole, it made for a great day hike! Sabino Canyon is full of other unique hikes as well!
  • Bike Tour: Tucson was definitely charming with a walkable downtown, so what a better way to explore more than on a bike?! There are several rental companies located downtown where you can rent a bike for an hour or the whole day! Some offer guided foodie tours as well…I mean what could be better than a taco bike tour?!

OKAY! HOW DO I BOOK?!

You can book directly through this link or head over to Casa Tierra Adobe’s website. Be sure to follow them on Instagram for all the dreamy pictures and desert vibes.
