Best Bars on Broadway in Nashville
I had so much fun checking out all Broadway had to offer. From jamming out to live music to indulging in some delicious BBQ, it’s a must for anyone looking for a lively vacay.
1. Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge
- Vibe: Historic, energetic, and authentic.
An iconic Nashville bar, Tootsie’s is steeped in history, having hosted country music legends like Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline. This purple-hued honky-tonk is spread over three floors, each offering live music that ranges from classic country to modern hits.
It wasn’t my most favorite bar on Broadway (a bit too crowded and small for me to handle), but it is a must to check out at least once.
2. Ole Red
- Vibe: Energetic, contemporary, and lively.
Owned by Blake Shelton (a favorite country singer of mine), Ole Red is a modern take on the classic honky-tonk. With multiple floors of music, great Southern-inspired food, and an always lively atmosphere, this bar has become a staple for fans of both country music and Shelton himself.
The rooftop provides a great view of the city, and the house band never disappoints. I especially enjoyed the Front Porch Sipper drink here!
3. Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar
- Vibe: Laid-back, Rustic, Southern comfort, and rooftop views.
With incredible views of downtown Nashville, Jason Aldean’s bar is a favorite on Broadway. It’s a great spot for rooftop lounging and live country music.
The Southern-inspired (order the Peach cobbler and thank me later) menu and the rustic atmosphere make it the perfect place to start or end your night out on Broadway.
Tip! It’s actually connected to Luke’s bar (below) and you can hop between the rooftops during the day. At night, they do separate the two. There’s also a fun Karaoke Bar right next door.
4. Luke’s 32 Bridge (Luke Bryan’s Bar)
- Vibe: Fun, eclectic, and full of Southern charm.
Luke Bryan’s massive, multi-level venue offers something for everyone. There’s live music on 3 floors, a rooftop bar with a view of the bustling Broadway strip. It’s one of the most diverse bars on Broadway, with a mix of Southern classics, great drinks, and music to match any mood.
The line for this rooftop does get pretty long at night, so if you want to check it out without the wait…go earlier!
5. Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottom Bar
- Vibe: Retro, funky, and packed with personality.
Lainey Wilson’s Bell Bottom Bar adds a funky, retro vibe to the Broadway lineup. Known for her signature ‘bell bottom country’ style, Lainey’s bar combines old-school flair with contemporary country music.
This bar is perfect for those looking to have a fun, lighthearted night out in a space that reflects Wilson’s unique energy and style.
We started in the fun Piano bar next door (with a cool swampy vibe!) and then walked up the stairs to Lainey’s bar!
6. Morgan Wallen’s Bar
- Vibe: High-energy and full of modern country spirit.
We spent the most time in Morgan Wallen’s new bar, so it’s pretty easy to say this deserves a spot on this best bars on Broadway list.
Morgan Wallen’s highly anticipated bar brings his party-loving energy to Broadway. It’s slightly off the “main” street (just around the corner), but you’ll be met with 3 different levels of live music. We especially loved the club stage (second level) as the music was great and it wasn’t as crowded as other bars on the street.
7. Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk & Rock ‘n’ Roll Steakhouse
- Vibe: Rock ‘n’ roll, high-energy, and multi-genre music.
Kid Rock’s bar is one of the largest and most eclectic on Broadway. With five floors of music, a rooftop patio, and a mix of country, rock, and everything in between, this bar caters to all types of music lovers. It’s my husband’s favorite bar on Broadway so we also spent a lot of time here!
The live bands and lively crowd create a party atmosphere that’s hard to beat. Plus, the steakhouse offers some of the best bar food in the area. Before your visit, be sure to check when John Stone is performing for one of the best shows in all of Nashville!
8. Chief’s (Eric Church’s Bar)
- Vibe: Rebellious, country-rock fusion (+ delish BBQ and rooftop views)
Eric Chruch’s Chief’s bar on Broadway has my vote for best rooftop views AND best BBQ. After checking out the views of the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium from the 6th-floor rooftop, head down to the 5th-floor for some delicious BBQ.
Yes, this is where Morgan Wallen threw the chair off the roof (and got arrested), however, they have since removed the highly photographed sign from the spot.
9. Robert’s Western World
- Vibe: Old-school, authentic, and budget-friendly.
One of the oldest and most beloved honky-tonks on Broadway, Robert’s Western World is known for its classic country tunes, fried bologna sandwiches (known as the famous recession special), and affordable drinks.
The laid-back, retro atmosphere offers a more authentic and traditional Nashville experience for those who want to escape the louder, flashier venues.
We were also told they were home to the most delicious (and affordable) burgers, but we didn’t have time to try them for ourselves so you will have to be the judge.
10. Honky Tonk Central
- Vibe: High-energy, vibrant, and a non-stop party.
Honky Tonk Central is a party from the moment you walk in. With three levels of live music, big crowds, and a fun-loving atmosphere, it’s one of the liveliest venues on Broadway.
Whether you’re on the dance floor or grabbing a drink with friends, there’s always something going on at this bustling bar.
12. JB’s Whisky House (Jon Bon Jovi)
- Vibe: Rock ‘n’ roll, whiskey-heavy, and perfect for a laid-back but fun night out.
JB’s Whiskey House, owned by rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, brings a rock ‘n’ roll flair to Broadway. Known for its great selection of whiskey and cocktails, this bar blends rock music with a casual yet lively atmosphere.
It’s a great spot for those who want a break from the country scene without missing out on the fun. We also found the rooftop to be less packed than others and gave us great views of the bustling street below.
